The biggest linemen in the Oregon Class of 2013 is from Eugene so you might think he dreamed of being a Duck.  But today he found a home for the future in Corvallis.

He made his verbal commitment today while in Corvallis and watched the Beavers move to 5-0 and up in the National Rankings.

"I love the atmosphere at Reser, love all the Coaches too," said the 6'3"-335 pound monster O-linemen. He spoke with us about Mike Riley too. "Coach Riley sealed the deal for me, he is a great guy," added Phillips saying that was a difference maker.

Then there is the OSU Campus and University offering. Skyler thinks a lot about his future after football. And he hopes to give back someday by being a teacher and maybe a Coach too. "OSU has a Major in Psychology with a teaching certificate, so that helped too."

We first met Skyler at the SPARQ Combine and pulled him as he was leaving to see his score. He had racked up a 99.5 and ran a 5.2 laser 40. At 337 pounds that was NFL speed. So we assisted him to get to the Nike NFTC at Oregon where he won the O-Line MVP and that launched his short recruitment. Shortly after we broke his Story the OSU staff moved in and offered him after a day seeing the massive kid at Camp. He made waves at Nike's "The Opening" and then went back to Eugene where he is busy helping his High School team win games in 2012.

His pledge today in our view will be a big one.
