Josh Smith – The New Kid In Town

The Cascade Bruins out of South Everett have a new kid in town, surely to bolster their up and coming football squad. Josh Smith is a thoroughbred athlete from Chiefland, Florida, that has transferred to Cascade.  He will help run the Bruins offense.  Smith is a quarterback first, but the jack of all trades juggernaut can play anywhere on the offensive side, and has.
Smith, a 6’3″ 205 pound senior was also a standout big bopping safety for Chiefland last fall.  Joshua also played some serious roundball  for Chiefland as  he ripped the hardwoods for 15 points and 8 boards a contest, as junior. Smith has already committed to play football at the University of Southern Alabama.   An athlete you think??
Josh Smith should be an Rising Star this year!

The Bruins have some other studs returning as well.  Smash mouth lineman Randin Crecelius, a 6’4″ 290 pound senior road grader, was a 1st team all-league pick at both offensive and defensive line. This beast tore up the summer camp circuit, making a name for himself everywhere he went. Everywhere!
Kaleb Dobson is a flat out speed demon at wideout/defensive back for Cascade. The 6’0″ 180 pound blazer caught 37 balls for 612 yards and 9 touchdowns last season. Dobson was also a 2nd team all-conference choice as a defensive back. Kaleb is a track phenom as well. He placed 2nd in the state 4A meet in the 110 high hurdles, running a blistering 14.53 seconds. Dobson also finished 8th in the 300 meters intermediate hurdles at state, and qualified for state in the long jump. Kids got a little athleticism to add to the squad??
The Bruins return a couple of head hunting linebackers from last years ball club as well. Inside backer Nate Elliot was a 2nd team All-Wesco pick….Elliot also rumbled for 282 yards on the ground from his running back slot. Outside backer and door slammer Myles Bellah was a 2nd team all-league choice last year also.
With Smith in toe, to go with the other big guns returning….the Bruins look to improve on last years mediocre 5-5 record. We will keep you updated!!
