In a late night call after a long week we report one last thing today. A young man we covered first long before anyone else has made his call. Seattle Prep stud Defensive Back Tere Calloway has made a decision after a long process of evaluating offers and schools.
The All American (5’11”-190 lbs) had major offers from a myriad of schools. He had it down to SMU, Southern Miss, and Nevada. Upon completing visits and really thinking about it he decided to do something very smart. He went for the degree program he wanted.
“In the end Nevada had the best degree and educational fit for me. All of the schools wanted me for DB and said I would play early. And they all have great facilities and great Coaching Staffs. But I decided I have to make a decision not on Coaches but on degree and overall fit,” he said. “So I am committing to Nevada.”
Part of his decision is that his long time friend and hoop star DJ Fenner is heading up to Nevada too. That he said was a small thing but something he is looking forward to.
“The Wolf Pack have a new Coach in Brian Polian and he has brought in a great staff and there is so much energy. I expect great things to happen there,” he added.
With his decision done he is getting ready for signing day and he has one more game left in him before High School is over. And it is a big one.
“I am playing in the Team USA VS The World Bowl the day before signing day. Then the next day all the players will sign together in a huge event. It is going to be so fun. A great way to end my High School career.”
Tere went on and on about how grateful he was to the other schools and how great they all were and are. In the end he is looking past college and thinking about being a career guy. So Football is still his driving force but he is really looking after his best interests for a lifetime.
We are so very proud of Tere and happy for him too!
