The Holiday Classic the Tanoa Bowl is back this Holiday Season as 4 teams from around the West have been organized to have a rematch of the 2011 showdown.  Live from Auburn on WashingtonSportsNetwork.com will come the Tanoa Bowl 2012.  This is the 3rd season for the Tanoa Bowl.

Organizer Simi Strickland does a superb job every year and thinks this years games could be the best.   The games themselves will feature many of the best players from their respective States.  Some of these guys are getting their first chance to play in a Bowl Game and others have played in the past.

Future Pac 12 Players will take the field with top prospects looking to make that first offer happen.  It will be a terrific environment for these kids to shine.

College Coaches looking for prospects will want to see these kids at work.  In these games the level of talented will be elevated with college level talent all over the field.  A pretty rare chance to see how kids react when faced with the sort of competition they will have as they struggle to move on to the next level.

Team Utah will play Team Washington  and Team Oregon will play Team Alaska.

Those two game will be proceeded by a youth all star game between Tri Cities Elite and Team Washington.

  1. Agent_Zeero says:

Few, if any, of these players seem to be showing up on any of the national recruiting ranking sites. Nary a one of the Washington players is in ESPN’s Top 25 for Washington. None of the Washington players seem to have a Rivals ranking. Granted, some seem to be getting looks. And David Ajamu from Shelton apparently has “committed” to UW (but I’m not sure committed UW is). Looks like the majority of them are drawing the cursory “medium interest” from schools. Unless none of this recruiting web sites are considered to accurate or to be believed.
