The Pacific Northwest. Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Western Montana….and Canada? Well yes. Are we not a Global Village?
Well no. Not yet anyway. But there is no doubt that our Canadian neighbors are a big part of the Economy and the lifestyle of the Northwest.
And better yet they love football. So when the 5th Canadian just this year contacted us looking for help I decided it was time to take on some of them and bring them into the fold. And why not!
So expect to see about one story a week on a top Canadian athlete. Most of them will be from British Columbia, Canada. And all of them are going to be prospects who will move on to the College ranks either in Canada or down here. And for you boys from the States that we spend so much time helping never fear.
Just because we cover a handful of the boys from the North does not mean we love you any less. And keep in mind that Canadian Universities have been recruiting here in the State for years.
So its already a two way street.
Enter 6'6"-245 Pound Senior Sonu Kainth. The massive Jaguar like athlete is long and explosive. He shows his leaping ability as well and you can see from the film that his demeanor is feirce.
"I love Football. It has suited me really well," said the Basketball and Track star and New Westminster Secondary HIgh School. "Being able to play at the next level would be a dream come true for me."
We watched his film. It is very good and you can see his passion is amazing. He talked with us about his strength training the gains he has made this off season.
"You know I really never did strength training until this Summer. I could not do much at all. Now I am benching 315 pounds, putting up over 400 pounds on the squat, and my power clean is 280. That has really stepped it up for me out on the field," he added.
How is he doing? Well 7 Sacks, and 22 Solo Tackles tells a lot of that story.
The rest you will have to find for yourself. But one thing is for sure! This guy is a hell of a football player.
