Project PIL is a Community based project led by Dirk Knudsen of Rivals.com and NorthwestPrepReport.com. We need your help and involvement to make this work!

Here at NWPR we are trying to make a difference to help kids get to college.  We do this through cranking out stories and content and sharing them with our readers.  Many of those readers are recruiters and coaches from colleges and universities.  And when we see a way we can help a group of kids we do it.

That is the Purpose of Project PIL.  This is an NWPR Project that we are going to run in cooperation with all of the Portland Public Schools and their athletes, Coaches, and Staff.   It is our belief that this League continues to be the home of many of the greatest student athletes in the Region.  Yet due to socio-economics and other factors recruiters seem to pass the League by and not take a hard look unless a kid is a Super Star.

Through our stories, Prospects Watch Lists, and our affiliation with OregonPreps.com and Rivals.com we will post stories on a regular basis to our site  under the Project PIL Page and then Push these same stories Nation Wide!  This is going to help.

Then we are asking any and all athletes, Boys and Girls, in any sport who desire to have our help to get a Free Profile at WestCoastPreps.com.  At this site the athletes will receive a fully interactive site showcasing them and allowing them to have One Place for all their information, contact #'s, film, pictures, stats, transcripts you name it!  Join Us at WestCoastPreps.com Now by Clicking Here!

Here is what you can do to help:

  • Help Us by Covering Your High School as a writer / analyst
  • Tell your fellow classmates and athletes about this service and what we are doing
  • Submit  an athlete to us. Use This form!
  • Submit a PIL Story or Update!  Use This Form
  • Sign up at West Coast Preps.com and at the Bottom under "Camps/Events/Leagues" Check "Project PIL"
  • Sponsor an event or help us in our Quest!  Call our Editor Dirk Knudsen at 503-799–8383 Now!
  • Coaches send in your sports web address, your contact info, and we will list you in our Project PIL Directory!

Together we can do this and get more and more kids form the Portland Interscholastic League off to Colleges on full or partial scholarships!

Here are just a few of the athletes signed up at our site and an idea of what we can do with these lists!

Deven has a complete skill set for a QB and while he and his team struggled last year at times he maintained a hard work ethic and left it all on the field.  He has the athletic and intangible skills and is developing to a point of leadership that could extend to college.

Nathan rose in the ranks last year and showcased a whole array of skills.  He has great speed and that is a true asset he has.  But he is coachable, has terrific hands, and is a great kid to be around.  A top athlete in Oregon's Class of 2013 who has committed to SMU!!
