As NCAA Tightens Academic Noose “Coach J” Steps Forward With Help

I want to warn you all of a coming storm.  And it is going to crash on the High School recruiting world very soon and you will be swept away by it if your not prepared.  Like all things related to recruiting we are here to help you prepare and succeed.  This is a very big issue so do not look away and pretend it is not coming.  Unless your a 4.0 student you are not safe from the impending NCAA Academic changes which will make it MUCH harder to get into school.

The NCAA has set a time bomb academically. And it is already damaging kids futures and they don't even know it. The time to read up and get ready for 2016 is now!

The NCAA has set a time bomb academically. And it is already damaging kids futures and they don’t even know it. The time to read up and get ready for 2016 is now!

Here is just a taste of what is coming:

2016 eligibility standards
Student must complete 16 required core courses.
Ten core courses must be passed by the end of junior year.
Student must own a 2.3 core-course GPA or higher.
Sliding scale that connects SAT/ACT results to GPA will be more stringent.

Now that might not hit home for you at all.  But it should.  Based on these standards a recent article by ESPN says that the new rules mean that 40% of all college recruits in the Class of 2011 would not have made it to college.  That is shocking and alarming.

If you are a Freshmen or a Sophomore and you are not on course and in full compliance in terms of your GPA on your CORE COURSES is could already be too late.  The new rules will prevent kids from retaking classes in their Senior Year to improve their GPA.  There is wide spread panic out there in the football coaching world and coaches and recruiters understand that this is going to hit hard.  For you players with good grades who are good football players take heart.  That superstar kid that has your scholarship offer cornered now but no grades is not going to have that offer soon potentially.

The bottom line to all of this is that as these new rules stand Academics are taking the Front Stage.  Anyone with decent talent and a very solid academic footing is going to move up to the front and garner all the interest.  A guy with freakish athletic ability but rough grades is going to punch a ticket to a JC and have to work his way back.  And hey there is nothing wrong with that; in many cases that is the best path anyway.  But how in the world are the Junior Colleges that are already full up with Top Talent going to make room for a 1000% increase in kids?  They are not.

NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS!  Help is here for you all and it comes in the form of a superbly knowledgeable and ultimately talented academic Coach and consultant Coach Eric Jackson.  “Coach J” as he is known is already put boots on the ground on this issue and his putting his 26 years of college coaching experience to work for the kids and families he works for.   We know Coach J and have seen him guide a handful of talented kids through these most dangerous waters.  He works for a reasonable fee to take prospective student athletes through the process and make sure they get the outcome they want.

Your going to want to spend the next 10 minutes watching this interview and seeing what Coach J’s Core Calculator can do to help you begin to plan.  You kids in the classes of 2016 and 2017 will be hit hard by these rules and in fact you already are under their grip.  Get educated.  Dial those grades up and succeed in class.  Those of you that do will WIN and get the scholarships.  Watch this man talk you through it.
