Myles Jack is one of my all time favorite kids and I have been so blessed to have covered him from his 10th grade season on at Bellevue High School on. The Wolverines super star Linebacker and Running Back proved himself time and again and left us with so many memories. We all knew he was special as we watched him.
This season the US Army All American has wowed fans as a true freshmen linebacker at UCLA. He has started all season and has had some huge moments which included a big time interception and run to end the game against Utah and seal the win for the Bruins. It was at that moment that Jack showed Coach Jim Mora and Bruin nation that he had sprinter speed for such a big man (6’3″- 235 lbs). No doubt that when UCLA ran out of offensive weapons due to injuries these past couple of weeks Jack was already on their minds as a guy who could help.
So needing help in the backfield Myles Jack came out yesterday in the game against Arizona and played Running Back as well as linebacker. And 120 yards later and a 66 yard TD run the world no knows what us Northwestern folk do. The kid is a phenom.
Awesome Myles. This certainly helps raise awareness of the quality of players this Region produces and it is terrific to see unfold! NW Alumni are never forgotten at NWPR!
