Marcus Griffin Set To Terrorize In 2013

Marcus Griffin 980

#62 is 6’3″- 285 Pound bruiser Defensive Tackle Marcus Griffin of the Bellevue Wolverines.

We loved him at Camp this past Summer and the way this guy played out there with the #1 Nationally ranked Bellevue Wolverines his stock just keeps on rising.  Marcus Griffin is going to be a monster next season and a force to be reckoned with.

Things so far are right o track for where he was hoping to be.

A perfect season and another State Title behind him the 6’3″- 285 Pound Defensive Tackle caught up to us and reviewed film of his season.  It was good.  Really good.

With a little help from our staff Marcus made some adjustments and came up with a much better version of his 2012 Highlights.  And if your a fan, a player, or a College Coach your going to like what you see.

Marcus has great footwork, terrific pad level, power,  aggression, and speed.  Best of all is his non-stop motor and a pretty good measure of toughness on the field.  All of that in that massive body at his age are adding up to a top tier recruit.

So which schools are showing interest in Marcus so far?

“ASU mails  me almost everyday and the Coach came to see me and said (he was) very interested.   Michigan sends me mail and messages  and has called me twice.   And OSU used to be in touch but not as much lately;” said  Marcus.

Other schools in on the early stages of recruiting this guy are Colorado, Missouri, Notre Dame,  Missouri, Wisconsin, and a handful of others.  A nice list of suitors.

“Right now we are getting all our information organized and completing a list of schools I am looking to speak to.  We will have a meeting with Coach Goncharoff who has a lot of information and letters and things to go over,” he added.

Marcus and his Father are doing a great job of networking and having a plan for his recruiting process.  Along with this and the film he has he is getting a good jump on things.  That and being a Bellevue Wolverine gives him instant credibility Nationwide.

They plan to put sincere energy into getting to know the Coaches and staff at the schools he likes best and getting to camps where they can see him compete!

So he is well poised moving ahead and he is right at the top of our Top NW Recruits list for 2013.

So looking back he has been a part of 3 titles in a row and stands the chance to get a 4th one next year.  When he looks back at the perfect season Bellevue had in 2012 what will he remember the most?

“No Question.  Beating Mt. Si twice!  And destroying them too,” he said.

There was a lot of talk before both of the Mt Si games this year and Griffin seemed to flourish out there amid the chatter and chipping.

He was a great compliment for Darrien Freeman the Senior stand out from Bellevue who with Griffin no doubt made the most potent set of run stuffing pass rushers in the State.

Folks Marcus Griffin is for real and will be terrorizing QB’s and RB’s again in a few short months.  Best of luck Marcus in all your off season work.
