Eastern Washington has some really talented kids this fall, none much better than Kamiakin’s R&R Express combo in quarterback Kylle Robertson and running back Umid Ramizov. The R&R express has the Braves rolling through the 3A ranks with a tidy 4-1 record. Kamiakin Football is coming off a thrilling 49-56 four overtime loss to 4A rival Richland. Robertson and Ramizov both had
brilliant performances in the hard fought battle against the Bombers.
Kyle Robertson is a top prospect on all out lists. We love him and it is easy to see why as his team keeps winning and he keeps rolling up the numbers!
Robertson tossed the rock around for 330 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Richland ball game. He completed 18 of 28 passes and ran for 2 scores as well. The senior rifleman left it all on the field
last Friday night. Robertson a 6’1″ 200 pound senior flame thrower is nothing new to the headlines. Kylle was a 1st team All-Mid Columbia Conference selection last fall. A season ago Robertson
lit up the airways for 1797 yards and 19 touchdowns. The fleet footed scrambler also racked up 456 yards and 6 scores on the ground.
The cold blooded rocket launcher has already thrown for 1346 yards through 5 games this fall. Robertson has completed 58% percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns, adding another 4 scores
with his ground work. Kylle is a talented all-around athlete, as he is also a sharp shooting standout guard on the Braves roundball squad.
The other half or the R&R express is the unheralded Ramizov. While Umid did get some playing time last year, he rumbled for 130 yards and 1 touchdown….He has exploded on to the scene this season. The 6’1″ 215 pound bludgeon back was an absolute workhorse against Richland high. He packed the pigskin 35 times good for 149 yards and 2 scores. The hard nosed bruiser has rushed
for over 100 yards in each game this season.
Ramizov has scored exactly 2 touchdowns in each game this season as well, totally 10 thus far on his brilliant campaign. He has bulldozed defenses for 669 yards so far, while averaging a rock
solid 6.4 yards per carry. Consistency on the ground this year is just what the doctor ordered for Kamiakin, and Ramizov has been exactly that!!
Next up for the Braves is another 4A powerhouse in Chiawana……..Strap it up, it’s go time.
