Jordan Morgan has been impressing our staff since he was a 9th grader.  The 6’2″- 190 lb Wide Receiver just does so many things well and is so talented we knew that first offer would come soon but he had wondered when and from where.

Tonight those answers fell into place as the San Jose State Spartans moved in on the Southridge Junior and made him an offer for a full ride in 2014.  The next thing is this is Mountain West Football for the Spartans and they will play Hawaii, Wyoming,  Nevada,  UNLV,  San Diego State, Fresno State, and schools like Boise State and New Mexico too.

Many of our NW kids get offers from a D-1 AA school like PSU or Montana as perhaps their biggest and only option.  As good as that is for some they are capable of going all the way.  Is Morgan capable of playing in the PAC 12?  Oh yes he is.  But getting an offer like this when your a full qualifier like Jordan is an encouraging start for sure.

“They want me as a Wide Receiver,” said Morgan clearly walking on clouds from the offer.

How does this make him feel?  He knew this might be coming but once it hit was it all he thought it might be?

“It’s amazing!  I appreciate my Mom so much.  My friends and team mates are amazing an mean so much to me.  Because they are the ones who helped me to get here and all of my Coaches too,” he added.  ” Honestly this just really motivates me to do more and get out there and ball!”

How about the Coaches?

“They are great!  Coach Dough (Jimmie Dougherty) the offensive coordinator is the Man!”

And SJSU is in California which Jordan says is a really good fit for him.  So this is a very good development for one of the Top Recruits in the Pacific Northwest on our Top Prospects List.
