EWU has scored another great kid from the Home State! The amazing athlete that is Jake Hoffman of North Central High School in Spokane, Washington has pulled the trigger and is going to play on the Red Turf at Cheney. And he will be an explosive addition to the Eagles squad.
Hoffman played the following positions in his High School Career: WR/QB/RB/P/LS/CB/FS/LB/KR/PR
And he drove upwards of 50 miles each way to school every single day. When have your heard of a kid doing that before? Rarely if ever!

So we had to catch up to one of our favorite kids who spent the whole year on our Top Washington Stars of 2013 List.
Why did he pick Eastern Washington?
“Eastern has always been that school that I’ve seen on the rise and always had interest in. It’s close to home. They have a winning tradition. The coaches are committed. Every piece fits the puzzle,” said a stoked Hoffman!
And what position is a 6’1″= 175 Pound burner going to play?
“They told me I can play anything really. CB, WR, Special Teams. So I’m really excited to get in it and see what my best position will be,” he added.
What is he looking forward to most as he begins to think about this move?
“I’m looking forward to competing! That’s what drew me to EWU. “
In the end all we could say was, “Awesome Job JAKE!!!”
Anytime the boys of the NW make it we do the Happy Dance here in the NWPR Command Post.
“Thank you so much man! I feel so good right now! Thanks for everything you did too,” he concluded.
