The Prosser Mustangs playoff journey starts this Friday night, as the Stangs travel to Pullman to tangle with the Greyhounds. The #4 ranked Big Red Machine from Prosser gallop into Pullman with a tidy 9-1 record and will surely ride their All-State wideout Danny Raap.

The 6'2" 190 pound senior is a three year starter and was a 1st team 2A All-State selection following his junior season.

Last fall, the sticky fingered Raap hauled in 47 passes for 791 yards and 13 touchdowns. The Mustangs advanced to the state semi-finals last season, eventually losing to Archbishop Murphy to finish the season at 11-2. As a super sophomore, the high flying Raap snared 16 catches good for 247 yards and 3 scores.

Flash forward to this season and young Mr. Raap is tearing it up again. He did tell us that he has been slowed by a "bout of bronchitis/walking pneumonia", but he is close to full health now, and ready to roll against Pullman. He said that he has "been double and triple teamed a lot, but it has opened it up for some other guys to make
plays for us".

Most notably fellow receiver Sterling Clark and running back Bubba Frank.

This young thoroughbred has still had a huge season.  He has caught 50 balls for 772 yards to with 16 total touchdowns on the year. Wow, he has had a nice career, you might ask?

Yup!  Blowing it up big time with 113 career catches and over 1,800 yards receiving. Raap is also a flat out beast at safety for the Stangs, where he has started the past year and a half.

Danny will also be in his 3rd year starting on the Mustangs roundball squad. He is a standout off guard/small forward who can flat out jump out of the gym. He told us that he "is looking forward to a really successful hoop season as well".

Prosser basketball coach Joe Prior says that Raap is "one of the top lock down defenders in the entire
CWAC conference".

While Danny Raap holds no scholarship offers at the time being, he has been hearing from some schools and holds out hope that the right deal will come his way. After watching film and talking with this fine young man, I don't think there is any way he should not play at the next level.
