The “dog days” of Summer are upon us and while June was busy July has been quiet. The dog that is the High School recruiting game decided to come up onto the porch and grab some shade this month as offers have waned and Collegiate Coaches have turned to their camps and business for a couple weeks. But we have had a busy little burst of action and of course you know we have the news for you form far and away as usual. Here is an update on some big time commitments and some new offers that have happened for our NW kids this past week or so.
Commits …
Biggest News This year and maybe in many years out of the NW – Jacob Eason of Lake Stevens High School has become the hottest WB recruit we have seen in decades. He was and is so hot that almost every premier college in the Nation offered. The way this game is played Eason had to make a decision out of his top schools or risk loosing his chance as the really big boys like FSU, Florida, Oregon, LSU, Miami, Alabama, Texas, and others will not wait. His Verbal commitment came in yesterday and the 6’4″- phenom has selected the Georgia Bulldogs! Way to Go Jacob! Seen here with his QB trainer Guru Lavelle Durant – see more on him here!
Bothell HS QB Ross has been covered many times here at NWPR- his potential seemed unlimited last season and he rode it to The Opening at Nike performing well and landing more offers. Ross committed to CAL last week and his play we believe this year at Bothell and beyond will be the stuff that makes the NW a hot zone more and more. Way to Go Ross!
Jackson Keimig is a top recruit who we have covered. The Bothell HS star has had quite a ride grabbing offers from a variety of schools. When Yale offered and worked out the whole package he was just too tempted. The powerhouse talent will be an H Back at Yale and knows this is more then just football – truly a special kid who could have played at any level and he chose wisely for his future! Way to Go Jackson!
Brady Breeze who is a top 2016 recruit out of Oregon just transferred to Central Catholic and now the massive safety has committed to the Oregon Ducks where his relative Chad Cota was a legend of sorts. This was a no brainer and the young many is very very special. His talent will be on display against Don Bosco as the Rams travel to play the powerhouse boys form California this pre-season! Offers….
This is the #1 DB in the Region for 2016 in many expert views. He has 7 offers to date and he will help lead the Jon Kitna coached Lincoln Abes of Tacoma into the 2014 season. Terrific Athlete at 5’11” and about 190 lbs. . Catch Dehonta’s Hudl Film Here.
Trevon Bradford of Oregon City was an NWPR ALL CAMP WR AWARD winner at the NWEFC Camp. The 2016 stud just landed his first offer – Montana State looking to make the hook up gave him a full ride. This kid is so talented this offer will not be his last! Cody Kempt at MSU is a Westview HS (Beaverton) grad and is flat out getting it done having been in touch with NWPR on a regular basis and coming after our best kids! Thanks Cody and MSU! Way to Go Trevon!
Pep Tanuvasa – 2015- 6’1″-215 lbs- This big time Linebacker transferred to Tigard High School this month and landed his first offer which came from Virginia Union which is a D-1 AA back east. He was an MVP at the All Poly camp in June and has a lot of additional interest!
