The NCAA has a series of arcane academic rules that are very complex.  A large percentage of the Nation’s top recruits spend their High School years focused on training their bodies to be the biggest and baddest version of themselves that they can be with the hope that the academic piece will be “OK”.    This however is a fools game and in the end many of these same kids will end up falling through the cracks.

If Prospective Student Athletes or PSA’s as they are known in the recruiting world had to be academically cleared before attending combines and showcase events let alone 7 on 7’s the fields would be about 1/2 empty.  Because all it takes is the lack of some key core courses or a low enough grade and that PSA is going nowhere.

And did you know that every year between now and 2016 the requirements are getting harder to make it in under NCAA guidelines?  No joke.  One has to wonder why the NCAA is making it harder while the Nation’s schools are seeing the average GPA fall and the drop out rates soar.

Mom and Dad— Coach— you PSA’s.  I am speaking to you.   We have been there and know the struggle.  When your faced with a training issue you get a specialty coach like a strength or speed guy.

Now comes a man with three decades of experience coaching in the NCAA and who has a rich history on how to prepare kids to have the transcripts needed to make it in.  His name is Eric Jackson.   You can read about “Coach J” as he is known right here- Coach J’s Bio.

From His Website-  http://www.CoachEJackson.com

“With 28 years of collegiate football coaching experience, Eric Jackson -“Coach J” – brings you a one stop shop to guide you through the collegiate recruiting and eligibility process.

Having coached and recruited student athletes from the Ivy League to the NFL, Coach J has carefully picked the academic institutions as he climbed the coaching ladder to have a degree of distinction among the others.  The schools have been places where academics matter, graduating matters, people and relationships matter.  High powered academics and athletics, and NATIONAL recruiting.

Coach J has an extraordinary graduation rate 98% of his student athletes. A winning percentage like that comes from mentoring before as well as during the college years, building and maintaining relationships with every student-athlete.  Identifying goals, listening to dreams, and helping them to achieve, and hopefully exceed those goals by being supportive and having a plan.

During the post season this year we have seen a few of our top kids continue to compete in events and garner attention even while they have continued to struggle academically.  This is the part of the recruiting story and process that can not wait.  It starts the first day the PSA walks onto a High School campus and it will not stop until the graduate and find a home at the next level.

Not everyone is going to make it.  Many will go on to Junior College and earn that Associates Degree and move on to do amazing things in life and on the field.  That is for sure one road to take.  But for many of those same kids things could have been different.

We highly recommend and endorse Coach Eric Jackson and the program he is running.  We have not one cent of financial benefit in this praise nor have we or will we accept any referral from him.  If you need help just get a hold of him.

He will be someone we will utilize often in the years ahead and we believe his services are not only valuable but more appropriate then any camp, combine, clinic, or recruiting trip.

Help is here for those in need.
