We will make this brief and soft peddle the potential issues here as much as possible. Information is streaming in to our sites from some of you that know us and the fact we have covered football in the smaller towns in Eastern Washington these past few years.
Chelan Head High School Coach Darren Talley and the School District have parted ways. He is out as the head football coach.
Superintendent Rob Manahan and the School Board in the prepared statement December 8th has said:
"While both parties highly respect one another and have similar goals for students with regard to their success in football and in life, it became evident that there were philosophical and programmatic differences that could not be reconciled. "
Rumours are now swirling around town about a variety of things that people around High School Football will speculate about anytime a Coach is released or leaves.
Coach Talley was a winning Coach and seemed well liked by those we have spoken with in the past.
Our sources, who are raising warning flags in chat-ways and through emails sent to us, have talked about a Doctor in Chelan who was fired or let go recently. But that is all we know.
No kids or Coaches nor anyone has been openly accused of anything.
But something is going on in Chelan. And we want you parents and kids to know that we will accept any information and leads on this story we should follow up with 100% anonymously and will protect the identity of anyone who wants to email or send us information.
Kids are always #1 on our list. Not anyone else. And these situations tend to be "handled" very carefully by anyone who might have doen anything wrong. We do not know what happened in Chelan if anything.
But there is no doubt we are about to find out.
