It was a busy weekend here in the NW as athletes were already back in the mix hitting up the camps trying to improve. With no expectations of any press or media attention many of the NW best recruits were simply out getting after it. Taking time to train in the off season is important provided athletes are focused and working hard on the specific skills needed to get better. We were out having a look at some of the action this weekend and stopped at a couple of camps.
AirOneFootball (AirOneFootball.com) is led by 1st Team All American QB John Charles. The Sunday camp at Lewis and Clark was loaded with talent and had some serious numbers in terms of kids. Age groups varied by session but during our stop we caught up to a number of prospects and had a chance to watch them work out of pads; always a benefit to gauge athletic ability.
Connor Neville of Wilsonville High School is a top 3 QB for the Class of 2017 and was there doing his thing. He is already being recruited and made waves last year at the Elite 11 workouts and beyond. The 6’2″ gunslinger has a special skill set and did not disappoint making great throws all day and leading and teaching the younger kids as well.
Here is Connor Neville in an interview we took with him after Camp.
