Erik Glueck of Bellarmine Prep High School is on his way to the Top of the linebackers group for the 2016 Class out West. The 6’3″- 230 lb middle linebacker had a dominating Junior season and helped his team in so many ways; just what you want in a fundamental kid like this.
His film is impressive and we have embedded it below for your review. The thing that stands out to us beyond his obvious size and bull dozer stopping power is his ability to read and make lateral adjustments to the flow of the play. He is also shedding lead blockers like rag-dolls as he reads each play with his heads up style.
If you were to teach kids to tackle in this era of football where all the risks are becoming all to clear you would want an athlete like Erik to teach it. Every motion he takes is to near perfection and most impressive is his heads up tackling and ability to run his legs through the point of contact. This not only protects his head letting his shoulder and hips deliver the legs message but it also protects opposing players from a brutal helmet to helmet blow.
Erik is a 4.0 student and has schools the likes of Stanford keen on him for those reasons and his football acumen. Erik will be a leader in the linebacker category this recruiting cycle and we love his newest film seen here.
Check out all of Erik’s contact information here and stay tuned for more updates on this fine NW prospect.
